DERWYDD PERUVIAN INTI-SAPA

Inti-Sapa will be standing stud at 1st Choice Alpacas during August 1 - September 30.

ARI#: 831678
Color: Medium Fawn
DOB: 11/21/2001

Inti continues to impress in the showring. At AlpacaMania 2007 he placed first (out of 6) in Get of Sire, and his fleece earned a blue ribbon in the Spin-Off (out of 4). On numerous occasions, Ian Watt, Editor and Publisher of the International Alpaca Handbook, has recommended Inti as a herdsire with outstanding fleece characteristics.

Inti is a winner, both in the show ring and in his bloodlines. He earned 8 blue ribbons between 2002-2004, including IOA, and he was Fawn Color Champion at the Monterey Pronk in 2003, and Reserve Color Champion at the Monterey Pronk 2004.

Inti-Sapa's fleece is dense with a very high frequency and low amplitude crimp. At 5 years old, his fleece is 21.7 microns, 4.2 SD and 19.4 CV.

With 66 crias on the ground (42 Females, 24 Males) he is really proving his ability to stamp outstanding fleece and COLOR - including dark silver grey - on his crias. His first daughter (white) sold at AOBA auction for $38,000!

While Inti has many ribbons to show off, his progeny have won more: Inti had 4 Reserve Color Champion progeny at the 2007 Monterey Pronk: Reserve in Fawn Male (yearling), Reserve in Light Female (juvenile), Reserve in Light Male (2 yr old!). Fleece Reserve in Light (Age A) and Inti won 2nd Place in Get of Sire right behind Elite Maximus! Inti-Sapa's Sunrise won Fawn Color Champion in fleece at the 2006 AOBA Fiber to Fashion show and at the 2006 AlpacaFest West Fleece show!

We are proud to co-own this outstanding gentleman with Derwydd Alpacas, Esparto, California. He is at 1st Choice Alpacas, Battleground, WA in August and September..

ABG ACCOYO VALENTINO

"Luster, luster, luster... It's all about the luster and this male is just loaded with it." "Hands down, my favorite." "Beautiful, beautiful male." Comments from the judge at the 2007 Kentucky Classic, where Valentino, in his very first show, was awarded First Place White Yearling Male, and White Male Color Champion!

The lock, luster and presence are no accident. Valentino was selectively bred from a pedigree strictly of the highest standards; Grandsire's are Accoyo Inca and Accoyo Jackpot. But that's not all, his sire Accoyo Belmonte a 10 time champion - WOW! To add to his already wonderful pedigree, a multiple Champion Dam. It doesn't get much better than this FULL Accoyo young male. You would need to breed to multiple studs to get what this one male has as his pedigree...!

Are you breeding for color? Valentino's dam is Light Fawn, and Valentino himself has a Light Fawn topnot. His sire Belmonte has thrown color as well, especially when bred to color. We are thrilled with this guy, and can't wait for him to enter herdsire status.

Valentino will be in Washington and starting his breeding career the late Spring and Summer of 2008. His breeding fee listed will only last until his first confirmed pregnancy. So don't wait, reserve your breeding now with a $500 non-refundable deposit, payment in full upon delivery of the female and a signed breeding contract.

UPDATE (Nov. '07): Valentino won another Championship! Comments from the judge: "This animal is AMAZING! His locks, density, and luster are remarkable, and his regrowth is incredible! With Suri's, it's all about the luster, and this male has incredible luster. You can see it throughout his body and all the way into his leg fiber. This male is in a league of his own!!"

CL9 Golden Galaxy

DOB: 1/9/2003
ARI#: 847342 Color: Medium Brown
Dam: CL9 Mimosa Sire: Jedi

Galaxy is an all around exceptional herdsire with bloodlines from 5Peruvian Dom Alamir on his sire’s side and PPeruvian Victor and Peruvian Aladdin on his dam’s side. His conformation is superb with a perfectly proportioned body with strong bone, and his fleece is extremely dense and fine with coverage from topknot to toes. Galaxy also is very even tempered when it comes to being handled which makes him nice to work with when it’s his breeding time. His total shear weight in 2006 was 9.3 lbs and in 2007 was 9.0 lbs.
He has been breeding since 2005 and his cria have been everything we could have hoped for. They have all been born with really long staple length, great crimp, fineness, density and incredible shine, and have been of all colors. They all have had nice compact bodies, sturdy with really desirable heads and also have inherited his easy going manner and temperament.
In his show career Galaxy placed 1st or 2nd in every show he attended (see below) and his offspring continue to bring home the ribbons, most recently with his daughter, Islandcrest’s Daisy placing 2nd at Alpacapalooza 2008 and his other daughter, Galaxy’s Golden Nugget placing 2nd at PNAA Northwest Alpaca Showcase 2008 in Pasco. The qualities of his offspring are always consistent and we would like him to bring those qualities to your herd.

Islandcrest’s Rainier

DOB: 8/14/05
ARI#: 30421431 Color: White
Dam: CL9 Mimosa Sire: CL9 Super Nova

Rainier, whose heritage includes Pperuvian Demetrio, Pperuvian Yupanqui and Pperuvian Victor, is half-brother to our other herdsire CL9 Golden Galaxy (same dam). Rainier is a great example of a strong boned, extremely fine and dense white male, with presence and demeanor worthy of a herdsire. His conformation is outstanding with heavy bone and straight stance, and his fleece is very fine (19.0 in 2007), super bright and has great crimp with full coverage.
Rainier has brought home numerous awards, halter and fleece (see below) and now he is ready to pass on his genetic excellence. His dam is light fawn and his sire is white, but his sire, CL9 Super Nova has a fawn patch on his neck and has produced color when bred to anything darker than light fawn. We believe that if bred to a colored female, Rainier has the genes to likely produce offspring with outstanding colored fleece. We hope to put that to the test this summer as he thinks he is ready to give it a try, and we think so also.
If you are looking for an exceptional white male with an affordable stud fee, give Rainier a try! You can’t go wrong. He has it all and is ready to prove it!
